Every year I have the pleasure of photographing Jeanie and her beautiful kids, my nieces and nephew. For this session we arrived at the beach late (as you can imagine with three young kids and an hour drive to our location) and by the time we were ready for photos, we only had about 20 minutes before the sun set. Internally I was a little nervous because I knew I had little time and little children. We started the session with one posed photo and let the kids explore the beach the rest of the time while I took candid photos of their interactions. Nothing was forced and  I’m absolutely in love how it turned out. It might even be my favorite family session to date and it made me realize sometimes you just need to capture whatever happens without interfering. You might just capture the most perfect natural moments.
